Scrapbooking and Cards Fun Day

Next Saturday, March 27th from 1:00 - 4:00ish, come and scrapbook or make cards with me.

Cards - $1.25 per card, all materials supplied and many examples to choose from or let your creative juices flow and use your own ideas. Make cards to your hearts content, as many or few as you want to.

Scrapbooking - If you don't have your own supplies, I do. Bring your photos and make 12" x 12" - 2-page layouts from $5.50 - $6.00 per layout, using cardstock, patterned paper, stamps, embellishments, etc. from my cupboard. If you have your own supplies, bring them along and scrapbook with me. Make as many layouts as you like. I have a lot of examples to assist with designing pages and am here to help you be creative. Close To My Heart's motto is, "Let me show you how".

Remember: Scrapbooking and making cards is relaxing and fun. It allows your creative mind to operate and relaxes the analytical side of the brain.

Technique Card Workshop Mar. 18, 2010

Technique Card Making Class

Hi everyone: This Thursday, March 18th I am holding a technique card making class from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Hopefully everyone will make a minimum of 6 cards or more, $1.25 / card.

Okotoks Scrapbooking Convention

I had a wonderful time at the Scrapbooking Convention in Okotoks, which was a fundraiser for the Rowan House Women's Shelter. We were able to take classes of choice and I chose the photography class and the CTMH Studio J, which will be available to everyone soon. It is an online scrapbooking with a single price for a layout (2 pages) and all the embellishments you desire. Studio J is user friendly and the best program I have seen. Your pages will be delivered to you with page protectors ready to add to your album. Of coarse you can add 3-D embellishments when you receive your pages. There were almost 150 ladies scrapbooking and making cards. Lots of free prizes were given away and we played some games and entered contests. I won a huge basket full of scrapbooking supplies by winning the reverse bingo game. Good thing I had an empty suitcase to bring it all home in! What a lot of fun and good fellowship. I am planning to go again next year.

Unfortunately, I have to cancel the open crop dates for Tuesday, February 23rd and Friday February 26th. I am sorry if this has inconvenienced anyone. I will be here for Saturday, February 27th from 1 - 4:00 p.m.

Valentine's

These are the Valentine's I made for the very large single's group that I belong to. Very much appreciated and I had fun making them. They are little bags that I cut out, stamped, folded and glued together, then inserted a little baggie of candy hearts for everyone.

OPEN CROPS

I will be available for Open Crops for scrapbooking, cards and more on the following dates:

Tuesdays, February 9th, 16th and 23rd
Thursday February 11th,
Fridays, February 19th, and 26th
from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
and
Saturdays, February 13th, 20th and 27th from 1 - 4:00 p.m.

Bring your supplies, photos, embellishments etc. and come out to have fellowship and fun. If you don't have paper, cardstock etc. I will be happy to sell you some at my cost.

Also, if there is interest I will teach a new Technique, for a small fee of $5.00 (all supplies included). 'Let me show you how' - You will make and take.

A New Year :

Now that the rush of the Christmas season is behind us for another year, it is time to take those precious photos of family and friends and create special layouts in our scrapbook album. About Me:
I have always had a passion for crafts and have been making cards for the past few years for my own personal use. In September 2009, I was introduced to Close To My Heart through my daughter in Alberta and viewed the CTMH products and consultant agreement online. The acrylix stamps, paper packages, embellishments, as well as the simple instructions that come with the kits impressed me so much that I signed up as a consultant (sight unseen). I am not sorry I did! In fact, I am so excited about the product and presentation that I just want to share the information with all my friends and family by teaching classes on "how to". Close To My Heart has changed my life and given me a new inspiration and desire to share and help others find their creative mind. Also, meeting new people, building relationships, developing lasting friendships and helping others to do the same are just a side effect of being a part of Close To My Heart. I share Close to My Heart's mission statement, "We show you how to celebrate relationships through the art of scrapbooking and stamping. Faster. Simpler. Easier." By the way, this is not about me, it is all about you!
