Christmas Present

Well, today I bought two paper racks, yea!  I cannot wait to put the paper in the racks.  It will make choosing colours so much easier being able to see them together, but separate.  Yea!  Not sure yet where they will fit, but I will find space.  Good deal..so a Christmas present to me, from me...
Everyone, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.   May it be a great 2011 for everyone.

Advent Calendars for 2010

As promised, here are the pictures of the Advent Calendars.  They are fun to make and each one is embellished differently.  Thanks to SVG and Mary for the pattern to cut the boxes and doors on my Cricut.  I used all Close To My Heart papers and some embellishments.  I had as much fun making them as the children will opening a door each day.

I made one more, however I gave it away before photographing it...lol

Scrapbooking

Hi:
I will be putting an order into Close To My Heart Sunday evening, which is the deadline to be able to receive it before Christmas.  If there is anything you want or need, please email me with your order.  You can look on the website at www.closetomyheart.com and go under Products, Idea Book to view the complete line.

If you have a wish list, give it to someone (husband, brother, sister, friend, etc.) with my email address and we will surprise you for Christmas!  Choose a Workshop On The Go, pages 24 and 25, and I will be happy to help you complete your layouts and cards.

Open Crop nights are Thursday from 6 - 9:00 p.m. and I am available for appointments that fit your schedule.  As CTMH says, "Let me show you how".

If you missed the Christmas Card workshop, it isn't too late.  Let me know and we can work together to make cards for those special people in your life.
Or if you prefer, you can purchase cards I have made for $3.00 each or 6 for $15.00 complete with envelopes.

Looking forward to hearing from you by Sunday evening,
Happy scrappin'

Advent Calendar

I have been busy making an Advent Calendar from Mary Rudakas pattern at the SVGCuts.com site.  Oh my, what a gorgeous project.  The kids will love it.  There are decorated doors and boxes to fit all different sizes of candy and goodies.  Can't wait to take pictures and post them...soon.  I hope everyone is busy too with their scrapbook projects.  The 400 Christmas cards are delivered and I just finished a 12 layout album for a lady.  It was a challenge, but looks great.  I also designed and made 50 different 3 x 3 gift card enclosures, including the envelopes to go with them.  So when I am not blogging, you can know I am creating and crafting... gotta love it.  Happy Scrappin' everyone.  I will be back!

Close To My Heart

Just wanted to remind everyone that the colours of Close To My Heart products all go together...even if you use paper from a different package or don't remember the colour name, you can find one to fit!  It doesn't matter if it is paper, ink, markers, they will all go together and I love it!  Thanks CTMH.  Happy Scrappin' everyone.

Oh My!

Wow, I cannot believe how fast time is flying by.  I have been very busy making Christmas cards for an order of 200.  That is a lot of cards.  I am designing and creating about 25 of each of 8 styles.  Currently, I am working on 151 -175 right now, then one more creation and whoola...done!  I am excited that I will stamp the back with my personal stamp and it will go out to 200 clients of my customer.
I have also been busy creating and cutting out for the card workshop I plan to hold next month.  This will be to make 12 Christmas cards in an evening.  These I will post soon.  I still have to take pictures and upload them.
The Thursday evening open crop is going well and we are creating many mini albums and gifts.  There seems to be more interest now that school is back in and fall is fast approaching.
So, until I get back here again, happy scrappin....
Contact me if you would like to attend the open crop or just have a question at 250-763-6780 or jojay@shaw.ca and thanks for having a look.

New Layouts

This is an album I helped a customer create.  She didn`t have a lot of patterned paper, so I created some for her with background stamping on cardstock.  It looks amazing.

This is a layout I have made for myself (no pictures yet) using background stamping and the bandana strip as shown by Theresa Black.  Sorry the background is almost the same as the centre of the layout, but if you look closely you can see where the layout is.
Thanks for viewing my blog.  All comments are welcome and read with appreciation.

Cards from Convention

Cards from Convention...a couple of clear card examples...fun to make, not easy to hide the glue!  :)

Convention Layout

Sorry this picture is sideways

This is the CTMH layout I did with the flip flaps, plus the pink backgrounds are the extra pages to accompany the layout....This was a fun layout to create, using many pictures and the flip flaps allow for even more pictures to be added.  Note the new Peacock and flourishes stamps!

CTMH Convention 2010 Washington DC

Oh my gosh!  What a fantastic experience to go to convention 2010.  So many new things are happening and I am so excited to be a part of it.  Just a hint...8 new colours will replace 8 retiring ones and they are gorgeous.  Can't wait to share them with you.  Studio J made easier, affordable and a great program for digital scrapbookers...And, next year's convention will be in the enchanted place of Disneyland California....Wow!  I have started saving already!  Email me jojay@shaw.ca or call 250-763-6780 if you want to hear more fantastic news from CTMH.

Practical Scrappers Challenge - border punches and/or scissors

I couldn't decide which one to enter, I like them both...however, I used my fancy scissors to cut out the roses, leaves and to trim the two paper ribbons on the first card.  The second card is trimmed all round and the paper ribbons are edged with the scissors...They were both fun to make and I was just feeling creative, I guess.
Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave a comment, love to hear from others and feel free to follow my blog, if you would like to.

Grandchildren

Yea!  I will see my grandchildren and family this week...I am so excited and busy getting ready.

Recipes

This is a collection of my favourite recipes.  I used toilet paper rolls flattened, decorated with scraps of scrapbook papers, printed the recipes on cardstock front and back and cut them out to fit into the openings in the rolls.  There are recipes for appies, soups, salads, sauces, main dishes and desserts.  Each roll can hold a few recipe cards.  Each decorated roll has two eyelets and I used hemp to tie them all together into a book.

H2H challenge June 21, 2010

I made this card for the H2H challenge this week using tulip, buttercup and black and they are all Close To My Heart products.  This thank you will go to a very special lady that I just met.  Faithe spoke at our church on Friday night and her ministry is "Women Who Win".  She is from Arizona and the sister of a friend of mine from church.  Faithe  changes lives and is a kind, loving and giving lady.

Scrapbooking for real...layouts

I seem to be on a roll and have created another layout which I will post a picture of tomorrow.  This is exciting.  I would love to have all my thousands of pictures scrapped, but will be happy for now to get the ones I have printed on pages!  :)   Thanks for stopping by, and happy scrappin' everyone.

Just Cats

This is a layout of my daughter's three cats and my cat, Ee-Or.  Check out the cute little Pocket Mice that I won on Tiffany Doodles.  They are hand painted with a water brush and Close to My Heart Ink pads, double popped up and the paper is 'Felicity' from Close To My Heart.
Sandra and Ryan have a cattery, doggery and horse boarding.  When they opened, I cross-stitched a whole lot of cats, framed it and they hung it in the cattery for all their customers to see.  Their business is Whiskers and Woofers in Kelowna, BC.  If you need a great hotel for your dogs or cats to stay, email me at jojay@shaw.ca and I will give you more information.

Lavonya and Don Mitchell's Weddiing

I used Close To My Heart papers for this layout of my friend's wedding.  I picked up the blue in Don's shirt using Dutch Blue cardstock and the green in Lavonya's son's shirt with the green cardstock.  The B & T's are from Felicity and Cherry-O papers and I was able to use up some scraps.  The tourquoise flowers pick up the colour of Lisa's dress.
