Studio J

The following is my first attempt at creating with Studio J, Close To My Heart's online scrapbooking.  It was a lot easier than I had thought and I had fun making these 5 layouts.  If you would like more information about Studio J, please contact me and let me show you how.

The 5 pictures on the bottom right are actually one photo;  a cool technique available only in Studio J.
These pictures were scanned to my computer and edited in Studio J to meet the pixel criteria.   Some of them are quite old!  See the argyle paper at the bottom of the left page and under the pictures on the right, well that was hand made online!

Some great pictures taken on a friend's phone of my son playing ball; perfect for Studio J scrapbooking.   I used the Typeset paper pack dragging in a lot of tags and stickease embellishments, even adding text to some of them.

I really like Sonoma paper in the current Idea Book.  I love that I can drag the embellishments right on to my layouts online, including all of the stitching.  The copy and paste feature makes duplicating embellishments simple to do.

There is a lot of layering of the embellishments on this layout.  All the doilies/snowflakes have been added , cropped, resized and layered.   A fun layout to do and it didn't take much time at all

Click on the Studio J icon on my blog sidebar and try it for FREE.  All you have to do is 'start creating' once you are at the CTMH Studio J site.  If you want to save your work to play later, just open an account, no credit card necessary, and go back often.  When you are satisfied with your layout(s), you can order using my name as your consultant or contact me and I will walk you through the process.  If you have any questions, contact me and let me show you how.

Christmas Gift 2011

I really like this Events Calendar and it was so much fun to make.  I even stamped the backsides just to keep playing!  If you would like to make one, please contact me to order the Close To My Heart supplies and let me show you how.

Healing Hand Update.

Well, it has been an interesting week for sure.  Doing things with my left hand only...sometimes with funny results and other times with frustration.  I have a new appreciation for people who only have one hand to work with all the time.  My son left on Monday morning for a few days and it has been challenging to say the least.  I will be happy when he returns!

One of my daughters picked me up yesterday, as I am still not driving, and we went to watch my little 5-month old granddaughter at her swimming class.  We surprised my other daughter with lunch and a great visit.  It was so much fun to watch Claire play, coo and not make strange with us.  Such blessings I am so grateful for.

I have done a little scrapbooking, however some of the movements are a bit painful and I am reminded quickly.  So, I have watched a lot of movies on Netflix, TV programs and finished a book, "The Help".   I am now working on some Christmas gifts.  I finished the 400 cards I was making the day before the surgery.

Healing Hand

After surgery yesterday, my hand will be better than new when all healed.  Can't wait!
Also, praising God for good test results today.  Thank you.
Looking forward to being able to create some more.  400 cards done before surgery, plus card workshop for 12 x 12.  I have been busy, so glad to be resting for awhile.

Early Birthday Present

Wow, am I ever blessed.  I just received an early birthday present from my daughter and son-in-law.  He made these drawer cabinets for me to store my wonderful Close To My Heart acrylic stamp sets.  They are a perfect fit and I can't wait to fill them all up!
Thank you.
I keep a photocopy of each stamp set in a binder and file them in the drawers in numerical order.

WOW I Won! :) 2nd Place

I entered a Close To My Heart contest and organized swap and I won second prize for my mini album.  We had to follow certain rules and criteria.  The item, which could be anything you wanted to make, had to be made with the wonderful Die Cut Kraft Cards.  All of the contest submissions were great and showed off the versatility and creative genius of paper crafting.

Our name and the recipe had to be on the back of our projects.  I chose to include my information on a tag inserted into the back flap pocket, so the people who received my album in the swap would be able to personally use it or give it as a gift.

CTMH consultants voted on the items submitted and chose mine as second place.  So now I can post pictures.  Thank you for voting for me.

Please feel free to leave a comment; I love reading all of them.
